Meet StageBio’s team member spotlight, Director of Laboratory Operations!
How long have you worked with StageBio?
I have worked at StageBio since May 2013 and am currently the Director of Laboratory Operations for the Frederick, Maryland location. I started as an intern when I was a senior in college. Following, I worked in the medical device lab. During this time, I attended and graduated a Master’s program in Biotechnology and Management. I have also worked in quality assurance and contributed to a variety of continuous improvement and management roles within StageBio.
What are your primary interests within your industry?
I enjoy seeing different medical devices move through the lab, from wet tissue to slide and troubleshooting when we have a unique study.
What are your most recent work accomplishments?
I’m driven by continuous improvement opportunities within the laboratory and my recent promotion to Director of Laboratory Operations allows me the ability to enact positive change.
What do you like about the StageBio culture?
I appreciate StageBio's flexibility in offering our clients a range of options. We collaborate with a variety of companies to develop innovative treatment methods.
Anything else you would like to share about your position?
My prior positions inside the organization have helped me in my current position by giving me the opportunity to think more carefully about how to improve lab procedures, comply with regulations when installing new equipment, and assure data integrity.
What do you like to do on the weekends?
I like to go on walks with my dog, Ruby, do crafts, and try new restaurants to relax and recharge.
