Pathologist Spotlight: Meet Dr. Stephanie Shrader!

Meet our featured StageBio pathologist, Dr Stephanie Shrader: DVM, Phd, DACVP, Director, General Toxicologic Pathology!

How long have you worked with StageBio?
Dr. Shrader has worked with StageBio nearly 4 years - the StageBio team looks forward to celebrating her 4 year work anniversary in October this year!

What are your primary interests within the Pathology space?  
Dr. Shrader’s primary interest is ocular pathology, with expertise in the evaluation of numerous ophthalmic drugs, animal models, ocular administration routes, and ocular medical devices. She also brings a strong background in the study of neuromuscular disorders, especially Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).

What are your most recent work accomplishments?
In Dr. Shrader’s time with the StageBio team, she has contributed immensely to the success of StageBio by leading our ocular service line, collaborating on extramural research projects, authoring peer reviewed manuscripts and book chapters, serving as a reviewer for multiple journals, and actively participating in multiple professional societies (ACT, ACVP, SOT, and STP).

What do you like about the StageBio culture?
Dr. Shrader loves how StageBio embraces flexibility, encourages employee engagement, fosters employee feedback, champions teamwork and collaboration, and has a friendly and inclusive work environment.

What do you like to do on the weekends?
On the weekends, Dr. Shrader enjoys working on home restoration projects with her husband, birding, hiking, or spending time with her rescue pup, Zero, named after the ghost-dog from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
