StageBio Welcomes Chief Scientific Officer: Dr. Serge Rousselle

It is with great honor that we introduce Dr. Serge Rousselle as StageBio’s Chief Scientific Officer. Dr. Rousselle is the co-founder of Alizee Pathology (now part of StageBio) a world-renowned veterinary pathologist with special interest in digital pathology and image analysis.

In partnership with our Pathology Division Directors, Dr. Rousselle will be focusing on:

  • Consolidating StageBio’s industry leader position in key areas through improved collaborations, cross-training and scientific development
  • Creating opportunities for our team to develop new skills
  • Reinforcing our culture of scientific excellence through scientific leadership, teamwork and staff engagement
  • Investing in our future by attracting new coworkers and vetting new opportunities

About Dr. Serge Rousselle

Dr. Rousselle spent the early part of his career as a toxicologic pathologist in the pharmaceutical industry. Over time, his work has made him a luminary in medical device histopathology. As a medical device expert, Dr. Rousselle enjoys collaborative work with sponsors and colleagues and the challenges of improving the way new products are assessed and patient safety is ensured. As Director of Digital Pathology, his work is now also focused on new imaging techniques, digital pathology, and image analytics. Dr. Rousselle is an active member of ACVP and STP and has co-authored over 30 journal articles and many abstracts presented at international conventions.
